Sassy Scrapper's May Sketch

I had a whole 40 minutes to myself today! Wonder of all wonders! I decided to take a lil' time to scrap. I had fun with this Sassy Scrapper Sketch since it called for more than two photos. Yay!

May Designer

This is what a new job does to you in the beginning! I have so little time to play with my scrapbooking friends! I miss you all so! This month I am the guest designer at
Sketch~N~Scrap. I love working with sketches as most of you know. It's nice when you're in a time crunch to have a little bit of inspiration! Love these gals! Thanks for letting me be part of your family!

Sketch~N~Scrap #29

I took advantage of some down time on this Easter Sunday, and created this layout based on Brenschevia's fab sketch on the Sketch~N~Scrap Blog. Thanks to this sketch, things just clicked.

Retro 56

My dad's birthday is Wednesday so I decided to catch up with the hip chicks at Retro Sketches and create a card using the #56 sketch. Masculine cards are tough for me to make .. I don't know why since I have two boys! I'm sure my dad will like this one because I made it for him. It works that way with parents!

Tattered Tim

Sometimes I ask myself "why?!"? Just who do I think I am? I always have the most beautiful and amazing ideas floating around in my head, but when it comes time to execute these notions the synapses from my brain to my hands fail me! One of these days those neurotransmitters will work and I shall have a masterpiece. Hey, I'm still learning and continue to be a work in progress.

I borrowed the tattered floral die from my talented and lovely friend Wendy. I die cut coffee filters. I then added Eggplant Adirondack Alcohol Ink to water in my Mini Mister at varying amounts to get different hues of purple. Love purple! My favorite color! I believe I fell in love with purple because that was Donny Osmond's favorite color ... at least it was, back in the day. We won't share what "day" I'm talking about. I digress ... while the flowers were air drying, I cut a rosebud from the Art Philosophy cartridge. After assembling the rose, I sprayed the flowers and rose bud with Perfect Pearls Mist. Then, I put all the flower pieces together only to find that it overwhelmed the lil' My Creative Time Treat Box I put together. I removed the larger flowers, and added a Perfect Pearls misted label to the top of the box. I made use of the smallest tattered flowers by placing them on top of the Hershey nuggets and adding bling ... all the while eating almost every last one on those terribly addictive chocolates. Had a difficult time saving four for the treat box!

This is my creation that I'm entering in to Tim's Challenge. The oh-so-talented folks he's highlighted on his blog have created the most amazing flowers! I am constantly amazed at what people dream up! The talent is astounding!
