Thank You Card

My son's second to last day of school is tomorrow. He'll be finishing his sophomore year in high school. Gulp! Every time I look at him, I cannot help but remember the sweet cheeked lil' boy he was. Now, he is 2" taller than me! Oh, I could go on and on about the many changes he's made. Anyone who has kids understands this. Time flies! Wait! I was going to share with you the thank you card I made for his bus driver, Karen. She is so kind and caring! He's the only kid that she actually picks up in front of  his house. So, I always make sure my son has a gift to give her on as many occasions as possible. I added a gift card holder to the interior of the card. This is what I put together for her:

Another Sassy Challenge

What would I do without
Sheila's Sassy Challenges
? She definitely inspires me each and every week. Thanks for sharing your creativity, Sheila! The challenge this week was to find a card on one of the Cricut carts and create an A2 card with your Gypsy. I used a card from the Sentimentals cart. My beautiful niece just graduated from high school so I created her a grad card with her school colors. The embossing technique I used was inspired by Tammy Tutterow on tammytutterow.typepad.

Sassy's Anything Goes Card

Once again, I was inspired by Sheila's challenge on her blog, She's a Sassy Lady. My original thought was to create a graduation card for my niece, but was having difficulty making my ideas mesh with the images on my Gypsy. I'll get there, but just not for this card. It took me while to scroll through the various cartridges and their respective images! However, when I came across the elegant lady's hand, I knew what I wanted to do.
Here it is ...

Sassy Cards

Sheila at She's A Sassy Lady always inspires me! I have created these AW2 cards before, but hadn't made one in a while. Sheila shared her technique for making multiple cards. I attempted only two. Needless to say, I have two more Mother's Day cards to add to my collection. They won't be there for long, however, since Mother's Day is only a week away.

Sassy's Birthday Card Challenge

Getting in right under the wire for She's a Sassy Lady Birthday Card Challenge. My sister's birthday is right around the corner; actually, it's on Super Bowl Sunday! We'll have alot to celebrate that day! As an additional note, I used a December 2011 Card Map for my inspiration.

Tim's Tags ... #7

I loved how Tim created the base of these tags!. I wasn't in to all the greenery on the bottom of the first tag so I followed along with his idea on the second tag. I actually liked it so much I made two tags! So fun! This will definitely be a technique I use time and again.

Gift Card Holders

About a month ago, I saw a post on gift card holders on She's a Sassy Lady Blog. I thought they were so adorable. They were designed by Lisa at Lisa's Craft Room Blog. So cute! Although I don't own the die that she used to create her pretty holders, I created one on my Gypsy. Next best thing if you don't have unlimited funds!! Anyway, I tucked gift cards in these holders for my gorgeous little nieces. I hope they like them!
